1. 薬剤耐性菌の分子疫学と感染制御
国内およびフィリピンにおける腸内細菌科細菌の薬剤耐性の現状を明らかにするために、基質特異性拡張型-ラクタマーゼ(ESBL)およびAmpC型-ラクタマーゼに関する分子疫学研究を行った。本邦におけるStenotrophomonas maltophiliaの薬剤感受性、Smqnrおよびプラスミド性キノロン耐性遺伝子について研究した。米国ノースカロライナ大学(UNC)で、カルバペネム耐性腸内細菌科細菌(carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae, CRE)などの薬剤耐性菌のゲノム疫学および感染制御に関する研究を行った。
